Marketing Agency Dives Into Sports Industry
Every sports organization, every international competition, and every major athlete has a sports marketer promoting their name. Whether Ronaldo is showing off his new line of cleats, or the local minor league team wants to increase their ticket sales, sports marketing is a major factor of fan interest.
In an effort to reach out to its sports-enthused clientele, MediaCom Worldwide has announced the launch of MediaCom SPORT, MediaPost reports.
Taking the lead for MediaCom SPORT will be John Marcus, who is now the global head of Sports. Stephan Allan said that many clients had an increased interest in the sports market which was the motivation behind his company’s big addition.

Sixty-four percent of companies are polishing their programs by leveraging customer segmentation and targeting, while 43 percent are funneling capital into digital demand generating and online relationship building initiatives.
BC Business Top 100 Luncheon with Jimmy Pattison
A huge thank you to our friends at BC Business, and the first-class team at The Hotel Vancouver Fairmont, for hosting yet another fantastic Top 100 Luncheon. On June 29th, the RHINO.ca team joined 1,300 business professionals from across BC, to celebrate the success of the province’s Top 100 private and public companies.
What we love most about this event is meeting people from a range of industries and locations, catching up with old friends and colleagues, and toasting to BC’s incredible and innovative business community.
As a Top 100 sponsor, we joined dozens of other exhibitors for the exclusive trade show, where we had the chance to mix and mingle, and enjoy a delicious lunch before the keynote presentation. Our “booth” certainly wasn’t your average trade show set up, but that’s the RHINO.ca way.
Year after year this event is fantastic, but this year was extra special. It’s not everyday you get to sit down for an informal chat with one of Canada’s top businessmen, Jimmy Pattison. Not only is he a legend in the business community, he is a remarkable example of how hard work, dedication, and the ability to listen to your gut, can pay off.
Rhino Cup Run’s Final Winner Is…
Well Canucks fans – so close, yet so far.
Despite a disappointing loss in game seven, and an up and down series with the Boston Bruins, we congratulate the Vancouver Canucks on a great season and remain proud, dedicated fans. Kudos to the Bruins, who played an impressive series and are deserving Stanley Cup Champions. And Tim Thomas – the guy is a superhero.
With the Stanley Cup Finals over we can finally enjoy summer, but not before awarding the prize to the final round winner of Rhino Cup Run 2011. Brad Bonar, from Port Alberni, finished an impressive 20 points ahead of the second place finisher, and is the winner of an authentic Ryan Kesler jersey and RHINO.ca prize pack. A fan since the mid-eighties, Brad’s all-time favourite Canucks are Kirk McLean, Pavel Bure, and Trevor Linden, and fittingly, his favourite player on the current roster is Kesler.
Vancouver Canucks vs Boston Bruins – and the other Stanley Cup Playoff battle!

Second round winner Kyle Singh sporting his new jersey.
We made it and this is for all the marbles.
Our Vancouver Canucks are taking on the Boston Bruins in the final round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and while that battle is underway, so is the last round of Rhino Cup Run. Prizes for the first three rounds have been awarded and the race for ultimate bragging rights has begun!
Congratulations to round one winner Chris Chutter, who took home a Roberto Luongo jersey and coveted RHINO.ca prize pack. Lou has been outstanding during these Stanley Cup Playoffs, and Chris, like the rest of the us, has every confidence in our number one net minder. Seventh grader and serious hockey fan, Kyle Singh, our second round champ, was absolutely thrilled with his Mason Raymond jersey. Raymond is his second favourite player, behind Henrik Sedin, and Kyle sure knows his stuff when it comes to the Vancouver Canucks.
